Black Siris Spreaders, Set/4

Four hand-finished spreaders carved from solid black siris wood — each with a uniquely shaped handle — make up this set that arrives in a giftable muslin pouch. Ideal for spreading preserves and buttering bread, their hardwood construction is equally suitable for a semi-firm cheese. The color will vary from piece to piece.

• Made of Black Siris
• Care Instructions - Wash with soapy water and towel dry. Do not submerge in water. Avoid the dishwasher as the intense heat can dry out the piece. Once a month or so, apply a little food-safe mineral oil using a soft cloth; do not treat the wood with cooking oils such as olive or vegetable oil. If the piece begins to feel rough or feathery, use a fine-grit sandpaper to smooth it. Stains or burn marks may be sanded away.
